About

A garment's world can change. The garment itself should not.

Long before it is photographed, a garment carries a story: a thread someone chose, a pattern corrected again and again, a collar resewn until it fell just right. In an atelier, at a worktable, someone spent time on it.

Then all of that work has to fit into a single image. You cannot touch the fabric, weigh it in your hand or look closely at the seam. You look at the photograph instead.

Perahaus exists to make that brief look an honest one.

Our measure

The garment you see should be the garment you receive.

So we photograph every piece's fabric, colour and stitching with a real camera. We use AI to build the scene, the setting and the movement around it. Before any image is published, it is placed side by side with the real garment. If the fabric, colour or cut has changed, the image is not finished. Scenes built with AI are marked as such on the site.

Πέρα

the other shore

Our name

Pera is Greek for "the other shore". In the nineteenth century, Istanbul's tailors, drapers and shop windows stood on this shore; it is where the city met European fashion. Haus gives that meeting a home: a fashion house where garments made in Istanbul's ateliers open onto the world.
